9 baje Cricket Betting — Bet on every match from BPL to the T20 World Cup
Bet across multiple markets in every cricket format — T20, ODI and Test — with live odds and a betting guide in plain Bengali.
Cricket's three formats and major tournaments
T20 is the most popular format among cricket fans in Bangladesh. In a 20-over match, runs come quickly, so odds shift from moment to moment and the betting experience is the most fast-moving. BPL generates the most excitement among Bangladeshi fans each season, and IPL draws intense discussion across the subcontinent.
In an ODI or one-day match, 50 overs of strategy and patience play out. The pace of an innings changes gradually, so there is more time to calculate across the betting markets. Interest in ODI betting peaks during international series like the ICC World Cup and Asia Cup.
A Test match is a five-day contest where pitch conditions and weather play a much bigger role. The T20 World Cup and ICC tournaments offer the most markets on 9 baje, and when the Tigers are on the field, participation in betting naturally goes up significantly.
Beyond cricket — football and other sports
Alongside cricket, you can also bet on football at 9 baje. The number of betting markets for English Premier League, Spanish La Liga or Champions League matches differs from cricket — in football, a draw is a third possible result, so the match winner market has three options.
| Sport | Result types | Betting features |
|---|---|---|
| T20 Cricket | Win / Loss | Fast odds movement, over-by-over markets |
| ODI Cricket | Win / Loss / No Result | Top batsman, run markets most popular |
| Test Cricket | Win / Draw / Loss | Long-term markets, pitch report matters |
| Football | Win / Draw / Loss | Goals, handicap and corner markets |
In cricket, a draw generally only occurs in Test matches — in T20 and ODI, one team must win, so odds are split between two sides. In football, the draw is a third option, so the favourite's odds are not as low. Understanding this difference is important before starting to bet.

7 popular betting markets
Each market offers a different type of prediction. Below is a brief introduction to seven markets.
Match Winner
Choose which team will win. Two options in T20, three in Test. A straightforward market — the best place to start for first-time bettors.
Most PopularToss Winner
Which team will win the toss — in this 50-50 market, odds are generally equal. Whether the toss-winning team chooses to bat or bowl is a separate market.
Simple BetTop Batsman
Choose the player who will score the most runs for their team in the innings. Odds are higher because there are multiple options.
High OddsTotal Runs Over / Under
Choose whether the total runs in the match will be more or less than a set number. For example, in a T20 match between Team A and Team B, decide whether the total runs will be over or under 320.
Statistics BasedMulti Bet
Combine selections from multiple matches into one bet — you win only if every selection is correct, but if one is wrong you lose the entire bet. The odds multiply and increase.
Big ReturnsFirst Over Runs
The total runs scored in the first over of an innings is available as a separate market. If a wicket falls or a wide is bowled, the run count changes.
Short-TermSpecial Situation Markets
Special markets are also available — such as which over the first wicket will fall in, the total number of wickets in the match, or the score after a specific over.
AdvancedHow odds are written in three formats
Many people get confused looking at odds, because the same probability is written in three different ways. The two examples below explain the whole thing.
All three formats say the same thing. Decimal 2.50 means a total return of ৳2.50 for every ৳1 bet. On a winning ৳200 bet, total return is ৳500 (৳300 profit + ৳200 original stake). If the bet loses, ৳200 is gone. Fractional 3/2 means ৳3 profit for every ৳2 bet. American +150 means ৳150 profit on a ৳100 bet.
Since Team B is the favourite, the odds are lower. At decimal 1.80, a ৳200 bet returns ৳360 (৳160 profit). American -125 means you need to risk ৳125 to make ৳100 profit — whenever you see a minus sign, it means that team is the favourite.
Decimal format is most commonly used on betting platforms in Bangladesh. You can find more details about betting on the 9 baje Bet page at 9 baje.
Live betting — odds change with every wicket
Placing a bet before the match starts and in-play betting are completely different experiences. In live betting, everything happening on the field is reflected in the odds.
When a wicket falls
When an important batter is dismissed, the batting team's odds of winning rise quickly and the bowling team's odds drop.
After a big over
If 15-20 runs are scored in an over, the batting team's odds come down noticeably.
Last-over pressure
In the final 5 overs of an innings, odds change ball by ball based on the required run rate.
DLS / Weather
If rain or fading light stops play, the match is temporarily suspended — during this time the live market may also be paused.
Some useful tips before you start betting
Match winner or toss markets are straightforward — understand these first, then move on to total runs or top batsman.
Keep in mind how much you will bet in each match. It is wiser not to suddenly place larger bets in the hope of profit.
On a spin-friendly pitch, the odds for a pace-bowling-dependent team are higher — this information is relevant when placing a bet.
In-play odds change fast. Rather than making instant decisions, it is better to get a feel for how the match is going before placing a bet.
Cricket betting can be a fun activity, but it should not be treated as a source of income. Read the responsible gaming guidelines.
Android and iOS apps are available through official channels. Live betting is most convenient on mobile.
